Hey Friends! 

My name is Stephanie Stanford Keith, and I am a self-taught watercolor artist as well as a practicing Physician Assistant. I was born and raised on the outskirts of the Mississippi Delta in the town of Grenada, Mississippi, where most of my family still resides. My father is a family medicine physician in Grenada, and my mother is an interior designer. I never knew growing up how much their careers would shape me, but so much of their influence led me to where I am today.

I am a certified Physician Assistant (PA) practicing in Family Medicine, but I am also an artist specializing in watercolor portraiture. My passions growing up were music, art, and medicine, and I have been so fortunate to make a career out of some of the things I love so much. I have also been blessed that I have family and friends encouraging me every step of the way. I am married to my soulmate, Kirby Keith, and we currently reside in Madison, Mississippi, with our two pups, Toby and Cooper.

I’ve been painting with acrylics for years, but I started getting into watercolor back in 2016 as a request from family for some watercolor nursery art. I had some very basic lessons in watercolor when I was in grade school, but it was more of an introduction into the medium itself. For those that have dabbled in watercolor, it is well known how difficult and frustrating it can be at times. However, those that know me know how much I love a challenge! I’ve by no means mastered the art of watercolor, and I continue to be inspired by other watercolor artists all around the world!

I absolutely love to create and watch paper and pigment transform throughout the process. What started as small watercolor nursery animals has now blossomed into personalized artwork for homes and businesses, as well as custom portraiture of families, children, pets, and homes or businesses. Through this business, I’ve had the privilege to glimpse into the lives of so many people by helping clients commemorate special moments and keepsakes. Hearing client’s stories and creating special personalized artwork is one of the most rewarding parts of my job. I can’t wait to see what comes next for this business, and I can’t wait to hear YOUR story.
